Songs Written with Students in Masterclass

Original Songs Written with Students

MY SOUND” grew out of an honest conversation between student Gretel and Molly Girl Music Studio founder and owner Donna Britton Bukevicz. Having mentored local musicians and artists for over 15 years, Donna has dedicated her studio to helping voices of all ages discover their authentic creative power. During their session, she and Gretel bonded over the deep desire to be seen for who you truly are, and the conviction that your voice deserves to be heard and taken seriously—whether you are 15 or way over 50!

As a multi-award-winning songwriter for TV and film—with accolades including a Silver Telly Award and placing #17 on the Awards Circuit ballot competing alongside Adele’s Skyfall—Donna saw an immediate, natural way to weave Gretel’s real-world emotions with themes from a script project in development. The result is a song that merges both of their stories, speaking to the shared creative struggle of finding, trusting, and owning your voice.

Brought to life with production by the talented Bryan Steele, vocal and song arrangements by Donna, and tracking at Ken Lazzo’s Feedback Studios (with zero feedback!), we couldn't be prouder of the final track.
